The Wonders of His Love: The Perfect Sacrifice
Text: John 3:16-18, 1Corinth 3-4, John 11:25-26.
Memory Verse: “For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead”. 1Corinthians 15:21
One of the reasons God sent his perfect gift was to do good on earth and work miracles that will convince men that indeed he came from God. Jesus delivered so many people held bound by Satan and demons; they were tormented by the demons till they met Jesus and their deliverance came, a good example is Mary Magdalene in Luke 8:2-3. He also saved as many sinners that were ready to accept him; He gave them a new life. A good example was a woman who was caught in the act of adultery and was almost stoned to death when Jesus intervened and she was saved John 8:1-11. Jesus healed all many of sicknesses and diseases including infirmities that followed some people from birth; a good example is the man that was born blind in John 9:1-11. There were so many recorded account of the different miracles that Jesus did while on earth; he raised the dead, made the lame to walk, calmed the storm, walked upon the sea, fed five thousand people with five loaves of bread and two fishes and so many more.
When God decided to send His perfect gift; he knew he would be the perfect sacrifice to reconcile man back to Him. Jesus Christ came to die for us; his precious blood that had no stain or blemish was the perfect sacrifice that God accepted as a means of reconciliation. His death bridged the gap created by sin and now we can go to the Father through Jesus the Son John 14:6. Whenever you remember the birth of Christ, know that the purpose of his birth was his death which has brought us back to the Father.
Mediatation: Have you utilised this sacrifice? Are you reconciled to God? Is your heart right with God? If not, Ask Jesus to come into your life now and make you a new person through His atoning blood.
