How to Grow In Christ (Part 2)
How to Grow In Christ (Part 2)
Memory Verse: Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. (1 Corinthians 15:58)
Obey God’s Word
Text: Matthew 10:24; Matthew 7:24-27
If I want to learn a new subject very well, I will look for someone who is an expert or a master in that subject and learn from them. In such a case you call me a student, servant, or disciple and you call the person I am learning from the master, lord, or leader. The Bible says “A disciple or student is not above His master” and he serves his Lord without arguing. You too must ask God for His help to follow the instructions that His word provides for your life. In our second text, Jesus’ teaching shows us that there are only two groups of people in the world; those who will overcome the wind, rain, and floods of life and those who will be destroyed by them. We see in the passage that everyone will surely face challenges of life (the wind, rain, and storm) but only those who practice the word of God will overcome them and win in life. Choosing to obey the word of God is the only way to live a strong and safe life. Don’t waste your life, choose to obey God’s word from today.
Pray: Lord, help me to obey your word from my heart every day.
