Thanksgiving (IV) – Grateful Heart

Memory Verse: “Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ”. Ephesians 5:20
A grateful heart is one that is always filled with thanks to God for everything and in every situation. God is always happy with anyone who has a grateful heart and He will always answer them as soon as they call for help. A grateful heart is powerful and can do a lot of things for us.
The Power of a grateful heart:
1. It helps us to focus on God and trust Him; Proverbs 3:5-6
2. It makes us humble; James 4:6
3. It reminds us that God is the giver of all good gifts; James 1:17
4. A grateful heart leaves no room for complaining; Hebrews 13:5
5. A grateful heart opens up the door for continued blessings because it invites the presence of God.
6. It makes the devil flee from us because powers of darkness do not like it when God is continuously being glorified.
7. A grateful heart is a happy heart therefore it takes our attention away from our problems.
Conclusion: Every believer all over the world should fully understand that a grateful heart is not just a healthy and happy heart but also a powerful one as it always brings down the glory and power of God.
