Shepherd Jesus – Feeding His Sheep (Children’s Devotional)
Shepherd Jesus – Feeding His Sheep
TEXT: Mark 6:34-42, Psa 37:25
In our bible text of today, after Jesus finished teaching the people, they didn’t need to ask Him for food. Whereas the disciples wanted to send them away to go and get food for themselves, the good Shepherd decided not to keep them hungry. Rather than send them away, He made them sit down and provided bread and fish that was enough to satisfy all the people that came. They all ate and were filled.
The good Shepherd will not let His sheep starve. Those who are His sheep will never be forsaken and will never go hungry because He will always provide for their needs. Our second text says, “I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.” If you lack food, just ask Shepherd Jesus, He will surely provide for you and your family.
Pray: Thank You, Lord, for being the good Shepherd Who always provides for His sheep. As one of Your own, I commit all my needs to Your care. I believe You will come through for me and my family, in Jesus’ name, amen.
