Provisions of spiritual blessings through grace (Grace series 3)

1 Corinthians 1:4-7.

(Revisit series one and series two)

We have come to the understanding that grace is the avenue of divine provision for every man. God has made it readily available, without measure, and indiscriminately to everyone through the cross. It now behooves every man to tap into this provision as he so desires- Isaiah 12:3 Therefore with joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation.

The text speaks about enrichment in all things. This refers mainly to spiritual blessings and gifts that form the quality of believers’ prosperity. You can measure the prosperity of a believer by the volume of grace available to him for the actualization of God’s purpose upon his life and the continual supply of his necessities to support him in actualizing that purpose.

Spiritual blessings are the resultant effects of a consistent connection to the Source, that is Christ- James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.

It is as we continue to behold His face that our lives become transformed from one level of spiritual dimension to a greater one. Every spiritual experience and encounter is a precursor to yet another one. And it is an endless well reaching unto eternity- II Corinthians 3:18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.

Now, there are two dimensions of spiritual riches obtainable through grace in the text, namely: “all utterance, and, all knowledge”. Utterance simply means to give a correct answer to every matter. Note the word “correct”. You may answer a matter but you must check if it tallies with the mind of God at that season through the scripture. Proverbs 15:23 A man has joy by the answer of his mouth, And a word spoken in due season, how good it is!

Colossians 4:6 Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one. The other gift is knowledge. It is always comforting to know what to do when faced with our simple daily living and any other peculiar situation- I Chronicles 12:32 of the sons of Issachar who had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do, their chiefs were two hundred, and all their brethren were at their command.
