Moses became a fugitive – Moses at the Burning Bush
Exodus 2:1 -4&17
Text Exodus 2: 11-25:
Memory Verse: Jeremiah 1:19 – 20 So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath; for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God.
While Moses was busy tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law the priest of Midian; he came to Horeb, the Mountain of God where he saw a strange sight. The bush was burning with fire but it was not consumed. God called him from the midst of the burning bush introduced Himself as the God of his ancestors. God was calling him to go and rescue the children of Israel. God is a loving and dependable God who hears and responds to our cries, and will always bring us solution at the right time. Moses did not feel capable or qualified so he asked many questions and God answered him. He gave him three signs (miracles) to perform and he also gave him Aaron to be his assistant and spokesperson to engage Pharaoh. God is a merciful God who understands our frailties and inadequacies. He is always ready to help us and strengthen us where we are weak.
Meditation – Always cry out to God when you are in need. He will definitely attend to you.
