Validate God through His Word
Validate God through His Word
“And the LORD appeared again at Shiloh, because the LORD revealed Himself to Samuel at Shiloh by the word of the LORD”.1 Sam. 3:21. Samuel knew God by His Word, that’s accurate and not just by experience or any other spiritual exercise, but by the WORD OF THE LORD. The accuracy of our message is established when we validate what we have come to know or think of God by what God has continuously, consistently and persistently revealed of Himself through the Holy Scripture.
Often time, the excitement of what we think of God creates such euphoria that we then begin to assume we can define who God is through the euphoria of what we think or have experienced of Him. God told Moses; “Surely I will be with you, and this will be the sign to you that I have sent you: When you bring the people out of Egypt, you and they will serve God on this mountain.” One will assume that going to the promised land was topmost…a people laying claim to God’s promises without knowing the God who made the promise will soon make an idol of the excitement of God’s promises. God’s promises are fascinating and can easily be idolized. The experience of the flesh can easily become an idol. Were you able to pray for 6hours? You don’t need people to get that information except the prayer was about breaking a world record? Our fathers would spend several days fasting and praying on the mountain and come back with several testimonies and encounters but today someone will produce a video clip of speaking in tongues in “RAP music”… others will dye their heads in various colours and then lead worship. THE EXPERIENCE OF THE PROMISE MAY SOON BECOME AN IDOL UNLESS AN ENCOUNTER IS ADDED WITH THE GOD WHO GAVE THE PROMISE. Validate what you think or know of God with the continuous, consistent and persistent revelation from the Bible.
This year, please HEAR JESUS CHRIST ALONE THROUGH HIS WORD…EVEN THE HOLY SPIRIT CANNOT SPEAK INDEPENDENT OF JESUS CHRIST-John 16:13-14. It is not enough to hear men speak, never use the anointing to judge the accuracy of the message proclaimed even a donkey can still speak under the anointing but no donkey will help you live in obedience to God! Balaam’s donkey still abandoned Balaam to his ungodly ways of sorcery.
Fall in love with the Bible this year.
