Moses Followed God’s Instructions And The Israelite Crossed The Red Sea : The Egyptians Suffered Many Plagues
Text: Exodus 7 – 14, 15: 1 – 21
Memory Verse: Isaiah 30: 21 – Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” Whenever you turn to the right hand or whenever you turn to the left.
God had called Moses to go and bring the children of Israel from Egypt to the Promised Land. He told Moses to tell Pharaoh to let His people go but we saw that Pharaoh became angry and he would not let the people go. But did God give up after that? Let’s go right to what happened next.
God does not want anyone to perish so He calls all to repent. He said do not harden your heart when you hear His voice. Pharaoh hardened his heart and this made the Egyptians experience 10 plagues one after the other from water turning to blood, frogs in the land, Lice, Flies, Livestock diseased, Boils, Hail, Locusts, Darkness and the Death of the Firstborn. The children of Israel were exempted from all the sufferings that befell the Egyptians. They were completely saved. God is able to save those who trust in Him.
Meditation – Those who put their trust in God and remain on God’s side are always secured. Are you on the Lord’s side?
