Where Does God Want Me To Start

WEEK’S TOPIC: HOW DO I START A RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD?

WEEK’S MV: Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. Isaiah 1:18

WHERE DOES GOD WANT ME TO START?                                          TEXT: Isaiah 1:18

God wants a relationship with you more than you want with Him. Like we learned from Zacchaeus’ story Jesus was eager to go to Zacchaeus’ house because Zacchaeus showed from his actions that he wanted a relationship with Jesus. God has you in mind and has made preparations for you to be happy in life even before you were born. This week we want to look at how we can start a relationship with Him. In the text, God told the Israelites (through Isaiah, the prophet), that He wanted them to come to Him so they could discuss and He could reason with them. This shows that He desires a relationship, but wanted them to understand that the right way to relate was to come to Him, admit that sin was something to talk about, and allow Him to remove every sin from them no matter how bad that sin was.

In the same way, God wants to start a relationship with you, He wants you to come to Him today. Are you ready?

PRAYER: Dear Lord, thank You for the privilege to know You and be in a relationship with You. I admit that I’ve been a sinner, but Jesus died and rose again to make me clean. Help me to continue loving and knowing You more each day, for all my life, in Jesus’ name; amen.
