How to Grow In Christ (Part 6)
How to Grow In Christ (Part 6)
Memory Verse: “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.” (1 Corinthians 15:58)
Find new disciples and help them grow
Text: Matthew 28:18-19, John 1: 40-45
Andrew did not just tell his brother Peter about Jesus, he went a step further to take him to Jesus. Andrew too took Nathaniel to Jesus. They demonstrated what Jesus instructs you to do as he instructed the disciples; after you preach and they believe in Jesus and receive Him into their hearts, you must dedicate time to visit them every week for at least once a week for a period of time, studying God’s word with them, praying with them and inviting them for programs in church (like bible study, Sunday school, etc.) that would help them grow and be established. Another way to help them grow is to go with them for evangelism, encourage them to explain scriptures to you, create opportunities for them to pray and after some time encourage them to also begin to preach.
PRAY: Lord, give me someone this week who will receive Jesus Christ, use me to help them grow till they can disciple others in Jesus’ name, amen.
