The two criminals.
The two criminals.
Text: Luke 23:39-43
MV: If they obey and serve Him, they shall spend their days in prosperity and their years in pleasures Job 36:11
Two criminals were privileged to be kept beside Jesus on the day they were to die by hanging. It was a very rare opportunity for them and their last chance to make it to paradise they needed to act quickly; whereas one of them mocked Jesus, the other rebuked his fellow criminal for mocking Jesus. He admitted he had done wrong & deserved to be punished; he called Jesus Lord and even begged Jesus to remember him. He ended in paradise, while the other wasted his last chance and must be spending his eternity in pain, sorrow and regret now. Both men on the cross with Jesus had a choice to make. Only one made a wise choice by asking the son of God to forgive him. He chose life eternal with Christ, while the other choose to mock Jesus. Choose life that you may live just like Joshua admonished the Israelite.
Also there are people around you who are probably in their season of a last chance and don’t even realize it. Pray that God will help them not to waste their last chance of spending eternity with God.
Pray: Father, please give people around me another chance to serve you, help us all not to waste the chance of spending eternity with you in Jesus name, Amen.
