A Call Unto Holiness
Text : O worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness: fear before him, all the earth Psalm 96:9'
If we are scared of Holiness, then we are scared of God Himself because the utmost nature and beauty of God is Holiness. Holiness should be a key discussion in our generation, if we pride ourselves as a generation with the highest level of revelations from God, then much is expected of us in Holiness. If a man has received greater revelations from God then, such a man should display the highest level of representation of God upon the earth which is Holiness. Why do we think all that God wants is just our worship? Have we forgotten that the truest worship is that which is embedded with the beauty of Holiness as the scriptures say ‘Psalm 96:9 ‘O worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness: fear before him, all the earth.’ as long as we are not scared of God then you should not be scared of Holiness.
Our first priority as Christians is to replicate the nature of God (Holiness) as we seek to experience and know His acts (Power, Signs & Wonders). While His acts are wonderful, a life that displays the act of God without nature will surely fail either here on earth or in heaven as scripture says in :
Matt. 7: 22-23 ’Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
‘The wonders of God are best displayed and experienced within the framework of His nature, any manifestation of God outside His nature is an exercise in futility. While the gifts of the spirit and the supernatural continue to help in the furtherance of the gospel and conquering kingdoms for God, they are not foundational nor the cornerstone of our faith. Devil and his agents may imitate several things but to live a holy life is completely impossible for the devil. Therefore, holiness remains the foundational basis of anyone who confesses to be Christian.
There is nothing like Holiness Church, every Christian should be holy not just some denominations, also that certain denomination has certain rules does not term them holy church, holiness is a reflection that the world and God sees not what the church defines. Holiness is synonymous with Christianity, and a life that continues in iniquity cannot be termed a Christian. Every Christian should be a holy Christian and every denomination should be termed, a holiness Church just the same way every church should be a faith-based church, because holiness is God’s nature, the absence of holiness only means the absence of God.
