Why did Jesus Come (III) – Freedom From Curses And Poverty
Text: Matthew 1:21, 2Cor 8:9, Romans 8:31-32
Every sinner is a slave of sin and the curses that resulted from the first man’s sin. The enemy satan, makes sure people experience hardship, poverty and troubles all their lives. But Jesus came to save us from sin and deliver us from all the curses, hardship and evil results of sin in this life and in eternity. He came to destroy the power of sin, curses and poverty. On the cross, He did not only take away our sins, He also exchanged the curses and poverty that sin brought and gave us blessings and His heavenly riches. Jesus was God’s only child till He died, all the riches in heaven were originally His inheritance but when we become children of God, we have a right to share the riches of heaven with Him.
PLAN: Make a list of needs for you and your family, ask God in faith for all of them and tell Him you know He can provide them from Christ’s inheritance for you.
MV: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. John 10:10b
