Judas’ choice
Judas’ choice
Text: Matthew 26:14-25
MV: If they obey and serve Him, they shall spend their days in prosperity and their years in pleasures Job 36:11
Judas was one of the twelve disciples Jesus chose when He began His ministry, He knew all about Jesus and was privileged to spend about three years with Jesus. He witnessed Jesus raise the dead, heal the sick, cast out devils, open blind eyes. He witnessed Jesus bring money out of the mouth of a fish amongst many other miracles yet He chose to betray Jesus. He ate, drank, slept and served with Eternal Life Himself yet He chose to betray Him. He died a very horrible death and because suicide is a sin, he will definitely not be in paradise! Today many young people who God has given the privilege to grow in homes or churches where Jesus Christ is served in truth sometimes harden their hearts against God. They refuse to serve Him, despite all they have heard, seen and experienced. But like Judas they choose to turn their backs on Jesus Christ. The end of such refusal to serve God is sorrow, misery and eternal loss. Take time to pray for children from Christian homes that have chosen to betray Christ instead of serve Him.
Pray: Father I pray for children from Christian homes who have made the choice not to serve God, convict them, convert them heal their hearts in Jesus’ name, Amen.
Also Lord, help me to serve you and not to behave like Judas in Jesus name. Amen
