WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I REPENT OF MY SINS-1?
TEXT: 2 Cor.7:8-12
Paul wrote a letter to the Corinthians rejoicing with them that he was happy that their repentance was real. How did he know that it was real repentance? It was different from the repentance of people in the world who say they are sorry but go back to what they repented of. Paul said he knew their repentance was real because they were really sorry for their sin and after they repented, they didn’t go back to what they repented of, instead they became careful about how they lived their life. They hated sin, feared God, and became excited to do the things that pleased God. They started to live righteously and their behavior changed completely. After you repent, God fills your heart with love and peace; you would want to please Him and you would notice that you would hate all that God hates as the Corinthians Paul wrote about.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, it is Your will for me to live righteously. Grant me the grace to hate what you hate and love what you love so that I will live to please You, in Jesus’ name, amen.
