The New Breed – part 1
Text: John 1: 6 “There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. 8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.”
In our text today we read the testimony of John the Baptist, who was a new breed to his generation, after almost 400 years of dark ages, the Lord raised a new breed in John who was completely different from the men of his days. His purpose, desire, aspiration, and pursuit were completely different from the men of his time, he was a new breed. Today the Lord is looking to make a new breed again, those who will call the nation back to righteousness, men that have exceptional Characteristics.
These breeds came out from the plantation of the old seed, but they are new breeds. They have one allegiance and that is to Christ and His Kingdom upon the Earth. They are in the service of the Master not for any personal gain, influence, or affluence rather they have been poured as an offering unto the Lord. These new breeds are not in pursuit of the earthly phenomenon of service, rather they are awed only by the presence of God and His Purpose. The world may reject them, but they are more concerned about the rejection of God. They are children and servants of God and not men, therefore they are accountable to God first before any man.
These breeds do not use the platform of the Cross to lift themselves but daily they lift Christ, they are not diplomatic in their sermons rather they know that they are a voice and cannot afford to misrepresent God. They are not ready to glory in the earthly things, but rather to glory in the Cross and her beauty. They have taken up their cross to follow Christ and in the Cross, they glory daily. Even when God brings crowds to them as evidence of His presence, they have learned to see themselves as an instrument in the hand of the Master. Their aim is not just for the horizontal approval of men but the vertical approval of the father.
May the desire to be a new breed be your heart’s desire this morning, and may the Lord find in you the heartfelt desire to be a man and a woman that God can depend upon as a new breed
