The Best Friend Ever
The Best Friend Ever
John 14:16-18.
The Holy Ghost is all you need. He is the best and the highest gift needed to triumph in life. He has the utmost responsibilities of leading you, filling you, changing you, and renewing your mind. Anyone with the Holy Spirit can know the heart of men. He warns you about the evil ahead. The devil will fight but will not be able to get over a Christian full of the Holy Spirit. You will be of better help to people and Christ too as you live in His fullness.
1 Corinthians 2:11 Amplified Bible (AMP) For what person knows the thoughts and motives of a man except the man’s spirit within him? So also no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.
Another loving attribute of the Holy Ghost is that he is an ever-present friend. He’s the closest that anyone can be to you. Have you made him your friend? He whispers now and then calling for intimacy and fellowship. When will you give a ‘Yes, I will’? You don’t need to be depressed in that situation, hear Him speak.
1 Peter 5:7 (AMP) casting all your cares [all your anxieties, all your worries, and all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares about you [with deepest affection, and watches over you very carefully].
Psalm 55:22 Cast your burden on the Lord, and He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved.
God is glad to carry your burdens and give you the daily strength you need. Before thinking overboard, have you told Him first? Or do you think it doesn’t matter? No! You don’t have to keep your challenges to yourself.
Then, Why should you be lonely? Why should you feel discouraged? The Holy Spirit is all you need. He is interested in all your doings. Even when praying!
In the same way, the Spirit helps you in your weakness- “We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God”- Romans 8:26.
MEDITATION:
Which other friend do I need who can help me in all things? He knows when I’m happy and when I’m down. Thank you Jesus For this precious gift! He has never failed and will never fail, He makes the Word of God resonate with my heart.
But it is a pity men can make Him angry. This Holy Spirit also has emotions. He can be grieved. Be careful! Ephesians 4:29 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption
Further reading in that chapter tells us ways HE can be grieved. He can be grieved by the words of our mouth. When you know the value of what you have, you don’t want to lose it. Getting Him again can be painful with double effort if not more with consecration.
He is a zealous fellow. Everything He does is with passion and Love. He doesn’t rush Himself or force Himself in a situation. He knows the need and knows the heartbeat of the Father. If you want to know more and understand God, please be close to Him. He’s a friendly friend.
You can’t buy Him neither can you earn Him. You can only have Him through Jesus. When you have Jesus residing in your heart, definitely you have Him according to the level of your growth in Christ.
To have Jesus too, Believe in Him. If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. Romans 10:9-11 | GOOD NEWS And this takes no time at all. Once your heart is ready, Jesus is willing too, to save you and deliver you.
