Set In The Valley For God’s Glory
Set In The Valley For God’s Glory
Text: Ezekiel 37:1-10
Key Text: “And I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live; and ye shall know that I am the Lord.” EZEKIEL 37:1-10 (KJV)
How on earth could a man under the hand of God, and full of the Spirit be carried and set in the midst of dry bones? This is a contradiction of the acclaimed Christian life that we brandished today, where money, fame and charisma is put forward as a sign of being in Christ.
That a man claimed to be a Christian, full of the Holy Ghost and be set down in the midst of dryness where there is no hope, we might quickly be tempted to judge that he is not a Christian or has committed a grievous sin.
However, there is a purpose for every act of God. The leading of Ezekiel to the valley of dry bones was not without a purpose. The Lord sent him there that he might see and experience the resurrection power of Christ. He wanted him to know that no matter how scattered and dead a situation may be, He (Christ Jesus) is able to bring them back together and breathe upon them that they may live.
Also, the Lord led Ezekiel to the valley of hopelessness that through him, He might bring them hope and make His name to be glorified.
Beloved, being full of the Holy Ghost are you in the valley of hopelessness, where everything is dry? Are you set in the midst of dry bones? Know that the Lord has knowledge of where you are, and that He has a purpose for you. His plan for you is nothing but to use you as a vessel of revival, and that through you His resurrection power might be made known. He has set you there, that through your obedience, He might raise an exceeding great army unto Himself.
Reflection For The Day: Whether in the valley or mountain, God has set you there for His glory.
