Restoration by confession
Restoration by confession
TEXT: JOB 33:27 – 30
KEY TEXT: “He will deliver his soul from going into the pit, and his life shall see the light.” (JOB 33:28, KJV)
God is a God of mercy. He is full of love and ever faithful to forgive and cleanse our sins. The Ancient of days has His eyes upon all those who turned to Him for help, and daily does He beckons to all those who are heavy laden, and saying, “come unto me all ye that are labored and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28)
As God looketh upon men, if any would also look up to Him, confessing his or her sins before God, “He is faithful and just to forgive all his sins, and to cleanse him from all unrighteousness” (I John 1:9).
Much more, the Lord shall restore to Him who humbled himself and confessed his sins. He shall deliver his soul from going down into the pit, and shall see light.
Therefore, having all these promises, let all those who have transgressed against God come unto Him. Let them call upon Him, confessing their sins before Him, and as they humble themselves, deliverance shall be theirs: their soul shall be delivered from the pit, and enlightened with the light of the living.
REFLECTION FOR THE DAY: Confession of sins brings peace and tranquility to the soul.
