Power in unity
TEXT: GENESIS 11:1-6
KEY TEXT: “And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.” GENESIS 11:6
To achieve any feat as a group, family etc. one essential and indispensable tool is unity.
Our text shows that even God had respect for the unity displayed by men in building the Tower of Babel, which was against God’s wish as He expected the people to subdue the whole earth and not converge in a particular place.
However, it is evident that their oneness would have brought their desired goal to pass if their language was not confounded. Of course, they could not achieve their feat immediately confusion set into their midst.
Are you a member of a group and every project that should have been completed seems to be lagging? Why not do a check up on yourselves to see if the hearts of the members are jointly knitted in oneness with another.
A single broom stick can easily be broken but a bunch of broom will definitely withstand quite an amount of pressure against it.
Rather than running helter-skelter, seek for unity amidst yourself and your expectations shall never be cut short.
