Live Impactfully
Text: 1 Thessalonians 1:5-9
Key Text: “For from you sounded out the word of the Lord not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith to God-ward is spread abroad; so that we need not to speak anything.” 1THESSALONIANS 1:8 (KJV)
Jonathan Sperry (1895 – 1970) was a man of influence in his own time. His life was not one that was without an impact. He openly lived a Christian life and beamed the light of the gospel unto others.
While he lived, in the summer of 1970 three boys developed a friendship with him, and in a particularly illuminating way, he brought to them the Gospel and taught them about the necessity of living out, and spreading God’s word.
His living paid off as these boys not only grew to become a lover of God, they became great in their respective calling.
We all must also live a life that reveals Christ; one that sounded out the Gospel to others not only in our house but also in every place we find ourselves.
We must be a light unto others, sharing the word of God with everyone we know, and helping in mentoring those who are young in faith, and are lost on how to come to Jesus.
