Lifetime Commitment To God’s Call And Purpose
Lifetime Commitment To God’s Call And Purpose
2 Chronicles 15:12-15.
From the text, we see the response of the children of Judah to the call of God. God is always calling and searching for those who will “worship Him in Spirit and Truth”- John 4:23; 2 Chronicles 16:9. His desire and purpose is to see men come into the original fellowship with Him as it was in the beginning at the garden of Eden- 1 Corinthians 1:9; 1 John 1:7.
Our response should be nothing short of total, entire surrender to Him with a perfect heart because He would have it no other way- 2 Chronicles 25:2; 15:15; 1 Chronicles 28:9.
A perfect heart toward God is the evident token of grace in any man. We wholeheartedly seek and live for God, holding nothing back from Him; we remain in His good graces no matter what- Job 2:10, and we do not allow anything to drive a wedge between us and His delight- Romans 8:35, 38, 39.
To drive home their sincerity and utmost willingness to follow the Lord, the children of Judah bound themselves with a covenant to God. Until we come to the place where God is our “all in all’ and we are ready to cleave to God even in the face of the imminent reality of death, we cannot receive His fullness- Jeremiah 29:13; Psalm 42:1, 2.
God will never change His stance on acceptable worship and service. As an “olive branch”, He has provided His all-encompassing grace to aid us in becoming partakers of His divine nature- 2 Peter 1:3, 4.
