The New Breed – Part 2
The New Breed – Part 2
There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. 8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. John 1: 6
Yesterday we started to review the qualities of those men that are new breeds, almost all of these qualities were found in John the Baptist, who was a New Breed in His generation. Today we shall continue to review these qualities, they are not merely to be learned but to be prayed for by all true believers.
These new breeds, even though men may not reward them, they continue to persevere in the service as accountable to God, they are not in the service for promotions or entitlement, to them the service of God is a cherished privilege and in it, they have poured themselves. As much as the service of God may have brought them glory, they highly esteem their devotion to God more than the service. Every of their service is only a subset of their devotion.
Heaven looks at them as an extension of His Kingdom upon the earth since they only live on earth for the ultimate purpose of pleasing the Master. They are not competing with the world, since they are the light to the world, they are not going for what is in the hand of the father but going for the face of the father. These breeds are not into God’s service for honorarium but for the honor of the Lord alone, they are not just serving God for results, but for the fruit of righteousness which reflects daily in their life. These new breeds are the Light of the Nations, they are the Salt of the Earth, they are the Plumbline, and the Standard of morality & purity, they are a reference for the world.
They lift the word of God above human view; they reflect the life of Christ and He alone is their message. The world may think they are odd but to the Master, they are the reflector of His praise. If our generation is to become the light again, we need these men. If we are to become the beacon of hope again, we need these breeds. They carry God’s Supernatural power as evidence of His presence but never turned the gift of God into an idol, as the gift of God in them draws men to them, they do not turn men to themselves but rather they shift men’s focus to God. They know the acts of God, His ways, and ultimately His nature but among these, they crave most for His nature.
Prayer: Lord raise these men among us today and may I be one of them.
