Divine Care
Divine Care
Text: 1 Peter 5:6-7
Key Text: “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.” (1 Peter 5:7, KJV)
The nature of a man is created in such a way that he needs care. He walks about finding who will care for him in the things that he is short of, and when there is no one to care for him, he passionately declares, “I have no one to care for me.”
For some who are in search of care, and could not find it anywhere, they likely enter into depression and could end up committing suicide. That is how important care is to man.
However, when the going gets tough, and you lose the touch of man’s care, there is someone who waits and is ever ready to care for you. When the world of your affection crumbles, and you find no one to affect your lives with all good things, there is someone whose care and affection is greater than that of anything we could ever think of.
Who is this great individual that has care in abundance? He is Jesus Christ! He is the one who knew no sin, but for the sake of his love, bled on the cross to death that we may become the righteousness of God in Him.
Therefore, have you lost the care in your life? Are you struggling to be cared for? There is one who cares for you. He loves you and daily prays for you. Why not cast your care upon Him? If he could care for the birds, He will care for you and your needs.
Reflection for the Day: If God could care for the sparrows, He will care for you!
