TEXT: 2 KINGS 5:1-3
KEY TEXT: “And she said unto her mistress, Would God my lord were with the prophet that is in Samaria! for he would recover him of his leprosy.” 2 KINGS 5:3 (KJV)
The gospel of Christ is full of power. No man who has heard it or come in contact with its message has gone unaffected even if they fail to yield to its message and be converted.
The little maid in our text gave what she had to Naaman’s wife. Though she was a captive and a servant in the house of Naaman, yet she was bold to present to her owner, Elisha: the great man of God whose life and ministry had been of tremendous blessing to the nation of Israel.
Though we have no understanding how this little girl knew of Elisha, perhaps her parent may have had a discussion about him or a direct contact with the man of God, yet she proclaimed the power house of Israel unto heathen.
Beloved, if a captive could share God’s power in Israel, ought not we who have been delivered by God, and have been made free by the blood of the lamb share the gospel of Christ? Ought we not to share the grace and the power of God to those who are in bondage and in sin?
Friends, as partakers of the heavenly calling and blessing, we should share the glorious gospel of Christ, share the faith once delivered to you, share the freedom and fullness of blessings you have received, share all that you have heard and received and share the love of Christ.
REFLECTION FOR THE DAY: The words of Christ is capable of changing men, share it!
