It is not a sin you say; it is just harmless fun with my body and my imagination. It is neither fornication nor adultery since I did not sleep with anyone. IT IS JUST HARMLESS FUN!
It is time to clear up this age-long misconception that the devil has used to deceive so many people time and time again! Listen MASTURBATION is not just a sin, it is an affair with demons you call your imaginations! Read further for better understanding and clarification…..
The world and even some so-called ‘men of God may tend to casualize this immoral act; but this does not change God’s stand against it and His judgment. It is really shocking and painful to know that a lot of people are involved in this demonic act, even some Christians. The devil makes them feel since they cannot have outright sex, they can still be involved in this. But whether you involve in pre-marital sex or masturbation, you still arrive at the same result of ‘spilling precious seeds’! Though some are ignorant of the consequences while some have tried all they could within their power, but are already addicted! It is like a stronghold! But thanks be to God whose power can break whatever spell, power or stronghold of masturbation. THAT POWER IS FOUND IN GOD THROUGH JESUS CHRIST!
We need to first understand that masturbation is a demonic affair! When a person is masturbating; the process is imagination. What are you imagining? Imagining that you are having fun with a woman/man that is not visible. At this point the demons are present and all they do is to spiritually engage in this act with the person until the ‘seed is spilled’! Why should anyone be part of this? It is unbecoming of Christians! It is shameful to call yourself a child of God and be involved in sex with demons. The bottom line is that masturbation is a spirit of perversion; it is like playing right into the devil’s hands and inviting demonic spirits.
My dear brothers and sisters, Colossians 3:5-6 says: “Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: For which things’ sake the WRATH OF GOD cometh on the children of disobedience” (KJV). “So put to death and deprive of power the evil longings of your earthly body [with its sensual, self-centered instincts] immorality, impurity, sinful passion, evil desire, and greed, which is [a kind of] idolatry [because it replaces your devotion to God]. Because of these [sinful] things the [divine] wrath of God is coming on the sons of disobedience [those who fail to listen and who routinely and obstinately disregard God’s precept]” (AMP). Masturbation is a great SIN with deadly consequences! It limits a person, it causes guilt and humiliation, it is a destiny destroyer, and it is a specie of lust that is as bad as bestiality and sodomy! It pertains to the sin of ‘uncleanness’! It is an impure act and anyone involved in this act cannot see God except he or she repents!
Romans 13:14 says: But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfill the lusts thereof. (KJV) “Instead fully immerse yourselves into the Lord Jesus, the Anointed One, and don’t waste even a moment’s thought on your former identity to awaken its selfish desires. (TPT) 1Peter 2:11: “Beloved, I beg you as sojourners and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts which war against the soul.” (KJV) Dear friends, you are foreigners and strangers on this earth. So I beg you not to surrender to those desires that fight against you.” (CEV)
“HAVE YOU BEEN CAGED BY THIS IMMORAL ACT? DO YOU DESIRE TO BE FREE? WELL, I HAVE GOODNEWS; YOU CAN BE FREE. YES JESUS CAN SET YOU FREE! ALL YOU NEED TO DO IS ACCEPT AND CONFESS JESUS AS YOUR LORD AND SAVIOUR. JOIN A BIBLE-BELIEVING CHURCH AROUND YOU AND DETERMINE TO BE FREE FROM THIS BONDAGE. Romans 8:15 says “For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. (KJV)
“Can I be free from Masturbation; I am already addicted”? YES, YOU CAN, BY THE POWER IN THE BLOOD OF JESUS! One of the things you need to know is that, it is an immoral act that can hinder you from entering the pearly gates of Heaven. So you need to prayerfully deal with it now! It is one thing to pray about it, but you also need to be determined and make a resolute decision that you want to be cured of this addiction. It is important to understand that this must be more than a hope or a wish to change! Without that definite commitment, one could slip back into the old patterns of behavior. You must have an understanding that you are in a battle and you have just one option, and that is: TO WIN!
Knowing this, you need to go to God in PRAYERS; Cry out to Him! You need to believe He has the power to deliver you. You need to activate your faith! But remember, the prayer of a sinner is an abomination before God. So you need to repent of all your sins before asking for God’s help in this matter. Also, if there is someone you can trust, tell them as well. This is important because it makes you accountable to someone else. Someone you can talk too, someone who can encourage you and pray with you, and someone to hold you accountable.
You also need to engage in some spiritual exercises to help you overcome this addiction:
1). First and foremost, you need to address its root cause! Get rid of those things that ‘fuel’ this urge! Is it immoral movies, pornographic pictures, sex objects, etc. It is a different thing to pray but you also have your part to play! The truth is, its difficult to stop ‘sinful habits’ if one is still living in the middle of the temptation that fuels them. So, examine your life, and get rid of anything that tempts you to masturbate. Also, avoid being idle for now!
2). Make daily prayer and constant study of God’s Word a high priority in your life. PRAYER is one of the Christians’ most powerful weapons against the devil. You need to engage in fervent prayers. You also need to RENEW YOUR MIND DAILY WITH GOD’S WORD. This will get you focusing on God’s truth rather than the devil’s lies. Develop a daily reading plan to help you with this. Memorize verses in the Bible that are important to you so that when the thought or urge to masturbate comes, you remember God’s Word and use them to silence that ‘evil voice/thought’! The Word of God is your ‘sword’ to conquer the fiery darts of the wicked! You need to back this up by living a holy and righteous life; a life free of sin.
3). Develop your Spirit man. The Spirit man is like an immunity that helps fight against all forms of ‘sicknesses’. Ask for the daily infilling of the Holy Ghost. Ask for the baptism of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues. When the urge/thought comes, instead of giving in to it, you start speaking in tongues and the Holy Spirit helps you in exercising self-control and silences that evil thought! You have to keep doing this regularly! Ask God to be a part of everything you do.
My dear brothers/sisters, the devil is of no power when we know our right with God! Deliverance is our right; so we need to claim our right! God, who delivered others, will also do for all those who are still willing to be delivered in JESUS NAME-Amen. The messages and calls as a result of last week’s post, made us realize a lot are really in this bondage! Even some Christians leaders/workers, and seem helpless, but God is sending ‘HELP’ to you today! Beloved, you might say, you are not a victim of this, but I will implore us to be watchful and prayerful, let’s remain connected to God; may we not be ensnared in Jesus name-Amen! Moreso, let’s join our loved ones in our prayers! 1 Thessalonians 5:23,24: “And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it”. BE IT UNTO US ACCORDING TO GOD’S PROMISES!
