Safe Haven Of Peace
Text: Psalm 91:1-10
“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.” PSALM 91:1 (KJV)
At a time where society is in disarray, and the soul of men is in fear as a result of insecurity that plague the world, and from what seems to be a lack of secured place, there is always a divine place for the people of God. It is a place of refuge, a place where those who live in it are the apple of God’s eye, and nothing could touch nor hurt them.
The Lord, whose thoughts towards His people is of good and not of evil, has a place for as many that would love to heed His call to dwell in it. Though the place may be a manger, and has no beauty for anyone to behold, yet, it is a place where the Prince of Peace resided in; a place of divine overshadowing – a safe-haven!
However, there is a condition to anyone who wishes to lives in this safe haven, and that is to dwell in the secret place of the Most High. The secret place is the place of righteousness; the place of prayer; the place of surrender to all the principles and the rules of the Most High.
Who then is the safe haven? It is Christ Jesus. He is the safe place of refuge: and when we anchor our soul upon Him, dwelling in Him, safety and peace shall be our portion.
O that our heart will yearn today to dwell in this safe haven, and thus like the songwriter, take a cover, and anchoring our soul upon Him then we shall have the omnipotent watching over us as a mother watches over her child.
REFLECTION FOR THE DAY: Nowhere is secured except the safe haven of God, therefore, make it your abode.
