Play Your Part In 2024.
To receive all the blessings that may have been pronounced on you and several prophecies that you have received from God, you have a part to play, or else all those promises may never come into reality. Highlighted below are some of the things you need to do:
1. Seek The Kingdom of God
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. ( Matt. 6:33). This verse is not a promise from God, but a statement of fact and truth (factual information without argument). Kindly note that in 2024, If you are ready to make seeking the kingdom on earth and eternity your focus without argument, several things shall be added unto you without asking. But consider this, the kingdom heretofore mentioned is not synonymous with religious activities, it means panting after God for the enthronement of His will on earth, seeking His purpose and will both on earth and in eternity. No amount of prayer can change this truth. Prayer was given to us to help us engineer and accomplish God’s will on earth and not for us to continue to coerce God into doing our inordinate desires. Prayer will not alter or work contrary to His will.
2. Lift Jesus
And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it- Matthew 16:18. This is a statement of fact. No amount of persecution can exterminate or put to extinction His Church, the only thing He asks the Church to do is to lift him. “And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me (John 12:32). This is an instructional promise. Our duty as Christians is to lift Christ, not organization nor any person/leader and He will call men unto Himself but concerning the Church, the gate of hell can never prevail when Christ is lifted.
3. Serve the Lord
And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and He shall bless thy bread, and thy water, and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee- Exodus 23:25. This is not a covenant but a conditional promise. You have to serve God, to be ready for all His direction and His leading instructions. Do not touch sin, be available for His service, the same way a butler waits on the master of the house for service to be rendered to the utmost satisfaction of the master. When we serve the Lord, then His blessings will follow.
4. Submit yourself unto God
Submit yourself unto God, thou shall resist the devil and he shall flee from you- James 4:7. This is a conditional authority. Do not think you have authority when you have not submitted to God. Our submission to God in this new year will determine how much of Him will be reflected through us. Submission to His will, to His ways, to His instructions, to His desires, and submission in our worship and service will delight and attract God’s presence and power into our lives.
These and many more are some of the key areas you need to have a complete change of understanding in 2024. As Apostle Paul said “…That the eye of our understanding being enlightened (Eph. 1:18)”.
Therefore our first change should start from the change in understanding the word of God, and doing them, the word of God is not a novel. Therefore, to allow God to play His role, kindly play your part and God will do His part this year.
