Joseph makes the right decision
TEXT: Matthew 1:18-20
Joseph had planned to marry Mary: She was his virgin bride-to-be and everyone knew that she was a godly girl. But when she told him the strange story of being pregnant without a man, he started planning to separate from her. He planned to do it quietly so that she won’t be disgraced. Perhaps he thought she was lying or that she was afraid, to tell the truth about her pregnancy, but there was no way he would marry a girl that is pregnant before marriage.
Just as he was thinking about it, he had a dream in which an angel of God confirmed that Mary was telling the truth about the pregnancy. Strange as the story was, it was the truth and God asked him to take care of her until she was delivered of the baby Jesus. Because of the dream from God, he believed her and joined her to take care of Jesus till He grew up and fulfilled God’s assignment for His life. Hearing from God is important because it helps us to make the right decisions; it also helps us to confirm what is true and what is not.
Declare: With God’s help, I make the right decisions in my life. He speaks to me and I hear Him. Confusion is far from me and I have clarity on what to do each time. Hallelujah!
